For all you who are incredibly frustrated that your E71 NAM (product code 0569371) hasn’t been given the latest v200 firmware update, I have great news – You can now update through NSU! This doesn’t require you to change your product code (though I still say that’s probably the best bet, just to be ready for next time), either! I got the tip here.
Please note a few things about this new firmware:
1. It is not ‘hackable’, which means that you cannot install unsigned applications after updating your firmware.
2. The E71 does not have UDP (User Data Preservation), which means that you *will* lose any personal data stored on the phone’s internal memory, including applications, settings, contacts, etc. You should back this up, either using PC Suite and Microsoft Outlook, or the built-in Backup function on your E71.
You can download the latest version of NSU directly from Nokia here, and verify that the firmware is available here.

Yes it is hackable! Check out the HelloOX 1.3 hack, and you can update to your hearts delight, and still install unsigned software.
I just update a E71-2 whit latam keyboard/qwerty distribution product number from telcel mexico changing to the code 0553094 , and hacked it whit helloOX method, just google it is everywere, also, says it can hack FP2 phones, which is not avaible whit other methods like hellocarbide…..

I cannot completely agree with the above as the new version 200.x.x has been hacked. Follow the following link:

hey i changed my product code to 0559585 to update my firmware ,but now they released the same firmware version 200.21.118 to my old product code 0569371 ,
my question : is ther any different between those too firmwares? i should re put my old product key and then update my firmware?
is this firmware any better than the one I got from changing the product code?

One peace software that I use is the SIC FTP client (.sisx).
I’ve successfully deployed it with firmware version: 100.07.76

Please check the Setting Software installation in Application Manager before downloading the software. The setting must be set to “All” and not “Only Signed”.
Does this mean with the new ver. 2.x I won’t even have this option??
