Reports are in from HowardForums members that the Nokia Flagship store in Chicago now has a limited number of grey steel E71-2 NAM models in stock and ready to rock. Priced at $483, these units will work on AT&T’s high-speed 3G network around the country.
There is no word on the white steel version’s availability, but I’m glad to see the E71 NAM becoming available in a timely manner, in line with the Euro versions. It’s nice to see the U.S. not getting stiffed.
The Nokia Flagship store in Chicago is located on Michigan Ave, just across from the Apple store and down the way from the Hotel Intercontinental. You can apparently phone 312-670-2607 to get on the waiting list.
Has anyone heard from the NYC store?

Nokia store has been calling people who signed up to be on the waitinglist tonight. They confirmed that they will have the grey e71-1 at a launch party on Thuesday from 6-8pm. They advised me to RSPV so I do not know how hard it will be to get it that day if you haven’t signed up yet (I was told I’m number ~140). Also the price will be ~$525 after tax which is in line with what the Chicago store is charging.

For those with Mac running OS 10.4.9 and above, Nokia has the downloadable E71 plug-in compatible with iSync 2.4. It will let you synchronize your contacts, calendar appointments and alarms using bluetooth or USB between your new phone and the Mac. I use this on my Nokia E61i and it works flawlessly in either direction.
The following Nokia link opens to a page that allows you to choose the available plug-in. Looked for similar link on nokiausa and didn’t find it.
